Wells-next-the-Sea is situated in the middle of the North Norfolk coast and is famous for its beautiful sandy beach, pinewoods, colourful beach huts and big blue skies. It is a prime location for artists and photographers alike and is located within the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty; with this stretch of coast often being referred to as the ‘Salt Marsh Coast’ and having a ‘Site of Special Scientific Interest’ status. The salt marsh is a haven for bird life; providing them with a high nutrient feeding ground. You will find an abundance of bird life here; both those that spend the year in Norfolk and those that visit during their migration. You will often hear the call of oyster catchers, ringed plovers and common and little terns as your explore this magical area.
Wells is a wonderful quayside town with an active, enthusiastic community. The Library, where Julia delivers her courses, is central to the community and is set up with an excellent suit of computers; all running Adobe Photoshop Elements. The venue is perfect to begin your development as a photographer or to further explore your photographic practice, with like-minded people, in a friendly and creative atmosphere. Julia runs courses both privately and through Norfolk Community Learning Services, at this location.
